Durwood A. Nowell Jr DMD has practiced general dentistry since June 1975. A native of the Wiregrass, he is a graduate of Headland High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama. Dr. Nowell received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the School of Dentistry University of Alabama Birmingham in 1970. After dental school he went on to serve as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Army, serving 3 years and leaving active duty as a Major. Dr. Nowell has been a practicing dentist in Dothan since 1975. He values the relationships he’s grown with patients over the years. He also has 2 children that he likes to visit and spend time with. If he’s not in the chair serving patients or visiting with family, you’ll find him on a nearby golf course or relaxing at the beach.

Born and raised in Southwest Georgia, Dr. Brooke Bell graduated as salutatorian of the Bainbridge High School Class of 2014. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science from the University of Georgia, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following her undergraduate education, Dr. Bell attended the Dental College of Georgia where she was a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, an invitation based society extended to the top 10% of each graduating class. Dr. Bell and her husband moved to Dothan in 2023 and are thrilled to call the area their new home. They enjoy spending time outdoors with their two German Shepherds and traveling to the coast on weekends. Dr. Bell is excited to serve Dothan and establish meaningful and enduring relationships with patients.
